Words of Gratitude

"One of the ways that I have found most therapeutic after my two deployments in Iraq was to get into the woods, but I have never hunted deer. I was honored to find out that I would be hunting for the firs time on the Flying X ranch with the most amazing outfitters from Majestic Mountain Outfitters. Of course I ended up getting a great antelope while under the guidance of these honorable selfless professionals. Both groups of people were some of the nicest and most knowledgeable in their trades that I could have ever hoped to meet. Jeff Chadd, Cyndi Chadd, Brian Griffin, Joe Vassau, and Robb Gustafson I am so grateful for the opportunity that you guys gave me. I am honored to have met you all and a better person for knowing you. What an amazing experience and a much needed therapeutic break. I couldn't be happier and more grateful for the time and experience. Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart."

"I had the privilege of serving alongside Robb in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as many other countries along the way. Without a doubt, Robb has always been one of the most dependable Soldiers a man could ask to stand next to in combat. If you ever get the opportunity to meet his wife Jennifer, you’ll understand how he was able to do all the things he has done. He has an absolutely awesome wife that has stood by his side through thick and thin.

Being raised in Michigan, like many, I grew up hunting. After some time in the Army, I found myself growing further and further away from hunting. I retired from the U.S. Army in 2014 and in 2015 I let Robb talk me into going on a hunt in Montana. To say that I had some reservations as to whether or not I wanted to (or was ready) to go would be an understatement. Aside from the visible gunshot wounds, I also battle PTSD every day. After being out of the woods for more than 12 years, I simply just didn’t know if I was ready to get back out there. I made the trip to Forsyth, Montana and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life. The Chadd Family of Majestic Mountain Outfitters and the Flying X Ranch took absolutely great care of us. I felt not only comfortable, I felt like I was a part of their family. It didn’t take very long to realize why the Majestic Mountain team is considered among the best in the business. I really can’t thank Colors of Heroes and Majestic Mountain Outfitters enough for the amazing opportunity they gave me."

“What a wonderful man, wife and organization!  I was able to listen in on your talk radio show this morning during the interview with Robb of Colors of Heroes, and I am truly inspired and incredibly grateful for their vision, their compassionate hearts, and the mission they have founded.  I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the kindness they are showing to my boys who will be going with them to Texas for an unforgettable hunting adventure, and I’m so glad that my dad is able to be a part of it as well since he has done so much to help and support us after my husband’s death.  Many blessings to you.”
